A collaboration between
Irondale and the Union for Reform Judaism (URJ)
July 11-August 5
1 and 2 week sessions available
Just Act NYC is a summer program that offers teens with a passion for theater the opportunity to strengthen their craft by working alongside professional actors in a state of the art Off-Broadway theatre in the heart of Downtown Brooklyn’s cultural district.
How does it work?
Participants in Just Act NYC work with professional Irondale artists to create an original ensemble piece, exploring Jewish questions and issues as a source of creative inspiration and motivation. Just Act NYC meets Monday through Thursday for four weeks.
Three days a week, you’ll work out of the gorgeous Irondale Center theater space in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. The fourth day, you’ll explore New York City together, experiencing art and theater and participating in service learning projects that serve the community and inspire your performance.
There are 3 options for participating in Just Act NYC this summer.
