Sam first met the Irondale Ensemble Project as a two year-old baby at Camp Winnebago. He doesn’t remember much from being two, but that meeting definitely left an impression. After graduating from Bates College, where he studied Theater and English, Sam started working with Irondale as a teaching artist and ensemble member. Sam teaches in-school residencies and after-school programs in multiple schools around Brooklyn and is proud to co-direct Irondale’s middle-school ensemble the Junior Company. He is also proud to be a part of Irondale’s To Protect, Serve and Understand program, which facilitates understanding through improvisation and the power of forming deep personal connections. In March of 2017, Sam helped to produce Irondale’s Not Normal performance series, a month in which Irondale opened its doors and offered a microphone to artists responding to the 2016 presidential election. Credits with Irondale as an actor include St. Joan of the Stockyards and 1599. Sam is proud to be a part of the work happening at Irondale and hopes you’ll come out and show your support!
