Irondale Center in Brooklyn is excited to present the On Women Festival, a three-week theater festival that places the feminine perspective in the spotlight. With two mainstage productions and two workshop presentations, coupled with a special performance by the Young New Yorkers’ Chorus Women’s Ensemble, a panel discussion with the artists and educational programing, the festival highlights Irondale’s mission to present relevant and reflective works while tackling current issues facing the community.
Fandango for Butterflies (and Coyotes)
March 26 – 28 | Thursday – Saturday
Inspired by interviews with undocumented immigrants from Latin America living in New York, the piece takes the form of a fandango, a community celebration where stories are brought to life through live performance, music, and dance.
