On Women Festival

During the month of July, Irondale is hosting the On Women Festival, a festival that provides women-identifying artists the platform to tell their stories. Created in 2018, each iteration of this festival has been different and unique, just like the creators and the shows that are part of it.

In 2022, the Festival will have a hybrid format, with online and in-person performances, and it will be a celebration of the women who have kept society running in all facets of life, current, and past, and the stories that they’ve made.

To make sure we’re not overlooking usually marginalized groups of artists, Irondale works closely with a diverse group of artists to help curate the festival and moderate the Artists Exchange panel discussions.

WHAT CAN YOU SEE DURING THIS YEAR’S FESTIVAL?

• MAINSTAGE: Three different theatrical productions will be performed live at The Space at Irondale. Scroll down to learn more about this year’s shows.

• NEW MEDIA STORYTELLING: A collection of New Media Storytelling videos can be streamed online at any time during the festival. Audience members are invited to vote on their favorites and cash prizes will be awarded to the first, second, and third places, as well as one Curator’s Pick Award.
