Open Soundpainting class with Irondale’s Young Company
Soundpainting is the live composing sign language created in 1974 by New York composer Walter Thompson for musicians, dancers, actors, poets, and visual artists and is also at the heart of many of Irondale’s core projects. Stop by for a FREE introductory class led by Irondale Ensemble Member Michael-David Gordon to learn symbols, explore the art form, and co-create a one off performance piece. The class will be assisted by current and former members of Irondale’s Young Company.
